North Pembrokeshire has become the home of a surprising number of music festivals. Representing the finest classical music, Fishguard Festival of Music with performances for nearly a month across the north county. Traditional music at the Fishguard Folk Festival, and the Tuesday evening Folk at the Oak in Fishguard. Jazz in Aberjazz, and a range of world and contemporary music at Unearthed in a Field, Welshstock and the Solva Edge Festival.
There’s something for everyone and many other events as well!

Fishguard Folk Festival

Fishguard Folk Festival – 26-29th May

Fishguard Folk Festival, the friendly folk festival by the sea, takes place over the late May Bank Holliday. Most of the events free, apart from three ticketed concerts. Free events include concerts, sessions, workshops, sing-arounds, a ceilidh/twmpath, dance displays, the Pirates and Smugglers Walk, and much more. Headline acts in 2022 were: Welsh folk supergroup ALAW, The Jackie Oates Trio, and The Shackleton Trio. Musicians come from England, Ireland and of course Wales, including local favourites and new discoveries. Full details of the Festival including the line-up are at www.fishfolkfest.co.uk.

Fishguard Music  Festival

Friday 4th August to 3rd September at various venues.

Taking place in one of the most beautiful corners of West Wales a 12-day celebration of classical music that includes visiting orchestras, chamber ensembles, opera and solo artists.

This festival takes place in a variety of venues in and around Fishguard.

Aberjazz Festival

Aberjazz Festival 24-28th August 2023

Aberjazz, Fishguard’s far famed summer jazz festival is back this coming August with exciting and original act at a huge range of venues around the town.

Aberjazz was started in 2004 by a group of jazz enthusiasts keen to introduce jazz to Fishguard, soon developing into its familiar five day format.

Over the years some well known artists have played at the festival such as Jaqui Dankworth, Courtney Pine, Paul Jones and this year Andy Fairweather Low.

Fishguard New Year's Eve party

Fishguard New Year’s Eve Party 2023

The Fishguard New Years Eve street party was started in 2000 & has grown from strength to strength.

We have now added other New Years Eve Events to our Street Party including our fabulous Winter Wonderland situated inside the Town Hall where kids of all ages can join in with our celebration. Activities  from 3pm until 10pm

Fishguard NYE 2023 will be outstanding and look forward to welcoming you. We’re listed in the “Top 10 places to be” so we must be doing something right and don’t forget or fabulous Fireworks display, kindly donated by Stena Line Ferries.
